Activist Awards!

Activist Awards!

This Thursday, Voices of the 99% will be receiving an award for activism
from the Washington Peace Center. This recognition of the work we’ve done
would not be possible without you, and we want to say our deepest thanks.

We would not have been able to serve and connect the community were it not
for your contributions over these past two years. Every person who has
come in contact with us has changed and improved us in some way.

We received this award because of your efforts and dedication to helping
Vof99 strive to be a place where people can have real, raw and open
discussions that will ultimately affect change. Whether you participated
in an interview in October 2011 edited audio with us last week, or just
listen in regularly, you’re why we’re here and a part of what makes Vof99
great. We would love to see you there this week and continue to work
with you in the future.

If you are able, please join us this Thursday, Dec. 12, at 6:30 p.m. at
St. Stephen’s Church, 1525 Newton St. NW, Washington, DC. Tickets are
necessary for this event, so please message us back and let us know if you
will be attending.

  1. Alena says:

David Graeber: Occupy Debt I think the more people/talking heads we have dissucsing the sham that has been perpetrated on the American public the better! It’s sick and criminal that the Loan Sharks have come back and rewritten laws allowing Pay Day Loan stores to operate, making it legal to charge up to 600% interest or more. Do we really want all the young people to become indentured servants & just work to pay off their student loan debt instead of pursuing their dreams?

  2. Hello! I’ve been following your website for some time
now and finally got the bravery to go ahead and give you a shout
out from Austin Texas! Just wanted to say keep up
    the good job!
